"Everton That" moments

We are well known for being an unlucky club and a a club that's run very poorly. So what would be your most Everton moment be? A personal favourite of mine was Richard Wright getting injured at Chelsea by falling on a sign saying not to warm up in that exact place. Another 1 was when a limited amount of fans were allowed back during lockdown and some fella got a seat right behind a post. Another would be doing everything other than getting Danjuma to sign contract and him going to Spurs.

We aren’t known for being an unlucky club. Most of the other clubs in England think we are really jammy. Some of them even think we are part of the ‘establishment’.

I don’t agree with the ‘establishment’ claims, but I think the argument for us being ‘jammy’ is equally as strong as the notion that we are unlucky.

Having a generational player that everybody knew was a generational player and then failing to get a record transfer fee for said generational player when you decided to sell him to the richest club in the world.

To this day I literally can’t cope with that. Literally any other human being on earth would’ve bare minimum got a record fee for Rooney.

Not favourites as such, more exasperation

Bringing Howard back for a third time as manager

Telling Nigel Martyn to talk to Leeds, when in his words much later, he wanted to sign for us.

Applauding Bill Kenwright in 2012

Appointing Benitez

Having a supposed billionaire investor and barely changing anything for the better. Stadium the one exception.
