Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

I appreciate you all putting up with my constant whining blue.

I can't cook, I've watched all forms of MasterChef for probably 20years now and I still burn soup haha. It's finances really posh cooking costs money and that's the only recipes I get from MasterChef.

I always walk at this time of morning and see or should I say smell  all the youngsters who have just discovered deodorant and perfume/after shave, glad i don't have to go through all that again. Kids are bizarre the amount I see walking with friends no matter how many and they'll all be individually on their phones as they walk.
Mate it's not " constant whining " - that's what Anj does only you misspellt wine ! 😂

Seriously just see us load of idiots as a sound board and an opportunity to let off steam and get it all out there - a bit like screaming at the ref - it can be cathartic ( and no that's not Blues new nickname ).

Loads to look forward to today ....yeah what gin Fred's lined up , what picture of food Blues going to post and how much bark chipping I can move in an afternoon....yep this thread is as Forrest Gump once said " like a box of chocolate - you never know what you are going to get".

Have a lovely walk with Daisy later mate.

For any of you watching the election results from Runcorn and Cheshire, the counting , interviews and announcement shown on TV took place at Halton Table Tennis club which , apart from yesterday obviously, has 8 tables permanently set up and is the North West centre of excellence for TT.

It's a 2nd home for me and woefully inadequate as a hub for NW ping pong.

I think people would be genuinely surprised how popular table tennis is. This week I went to a new club set up in Old Roan Methodist Church and there were over 65 people wanting to play and ages ranged between 8 and 80 with players of all standard from beginners to those representing England.

When I win the lottery I will build a proper centre somewhere in Merseyside 😂.

Anyway it's Friday so after housework , gym and gardening I will allow myself some moderate imbibing.

Election results so far look terribly worrying, it looks like we are following very closely in America's footsteps. The worst of it are that Labour appear to be tone deaf and not listening or learning. This continuing mantra of "we inherited a mess " true as it might be just won't wash with people.

Tomorrow is cricket day and with the club short of volunteers I've agreed to help out behind the bar - any tips @peteblue ? 😂

Have a lovely day everyone.

Best tip for helping behind the bar…get a really good looking girl to do it instead… 😂

A meet up of everyone next weekend would be amazing!

I'm happy to offer my garden as a venue but I fear that my location and timing won't work ( Anj is coming Saturday and Fred trying to come Monday ).

The common thread seems to be a pilgrimage to the Old Lady on Sunday ( but Anj I think you are planning to go home then ? )

I can be flexible but I'm pretty committed to helping out the cricket club Saturday afternoon ( Anj I can pop back to meet you if you can't do AM ) .

Any thoughts guys?
Isn't lovely that so many on here wish to meet ? We truly are greater than the sum of our parts ,thanks Karl ,if only he knew what he started .:)

Ahh yes. Lynx - the smell of desperate teenager🤣🤣

It would be great to meet up with everybody at some stage when I'm up, whether that's collectively or individually. It's unusual that we're all there at the same time, but I think the gods may be against a full get together on this occasion.

My two best mates are holding up my finalising my plans, which is the norm tbh. One of them is a real prima donna when it comes to arranging meet ups. He's a proper loyal and honest friend though, so it's easy to forgive him his little quirks. Plus I've arranged to spend Saturday watching the FA cup final with my nephew but as they still haven't set a time for the game yet it's difficult making plans. Sunday will be out of the equation for me as I think I'm joining said nephew early for breakfast on County Road, and I doubt I'll be much capable of speaking later on. But it's possible I may have some free time early Friday afternoon or early Monday morning before I visit Jazzy. Not sure if that helps.
