City were told not to win it. Too political given the current charges they face. Imagine if they'd won it again this season and made it 7 titles in the last 8 seasons.

I think this is abundantly clear.

It's another asterisk title for them.

The PL and PGMOL have to tie City down to stop the inevitable happening - a City title win.

Hopefully Arsenal win the CL and get some confidence next season to maintain a title challenge and City get their act together again...but if the games authorities and officials want a certain outcome they can make it happen.
