Everton Youth Teams Thread

I think it may be a bit hard when we have 3 fully fit Centre forwards to find him minutes before the end of the season especially with a good few of us wanting to see what Chermiti can offer.

But it would be a nice reward for the lad if a bench spot comes available to involve him there and possibly giving him 5-10 minutes of at least one game.

As much as we would love seeing these lads pop up on the bench, i don't think its great for squad harmony if Moyes opts not to involve someone like Young for example for a token gesture
You're probably right here mate.

 He looks like a 12 year old, God help them when he develops. Must say he looked impressive in the second test event. He deffo needs to fill out, but what a prospect.

….the fact he’s not relying on physicality is a big bonus for me, this is down to quality and attitude. Often Academy youngsters have a huge advantage because they’re bigger and stronger in their age group but this fella is small framed, not forgetting he played open-age football in N Ireland.

The other point I’ll make is the connection with Jimmy Husband. I have very vivid memory of Jimmy Husband playing in that FA Youth Cup winning team of 1965, he was truly outstanding so it’s a fine link for the lad to have. If he turns out as good we’ve a terrific footballer to look forward to.

First line kills my argument there Eggs, sincerely hope that bodes will for his future and that future is with us. Husband what a player, remember when he was injured during thd final third of our Championship season, I was gutted, Jimmy was one of my favourites players, Alan Whittle took over and that was that for Jimmy really. Another Everton players career cut short through injury.

…not really, Matey, I think your point about ‘filling out’ still applies but smaller framed players can live within todays game, many like Salah are very strong and must really work on weights.
