Very true, just didn’t have the money for that one at the time as it transpires. Would have been a hell of a signing, we did try I believe.

From what I remember, he was amenable to the move, but Cov wanted the money up front and that was game over for us.

I'd count West Brom out after today, we deserved a draw but got no one to put ball in net, we got Bristol City away Tuesday and then Coventry away

Coventry wanted more money for Gyokeres, plus Simms went the summer after Maupay joined (at which point Gyokeres was off to Sporting). If rumours at the time were true, Coventry also wanted a substantial amount upfront to prise Gyokeres away from them.

I'd like Burnley to knock Will Ferrell FC off the top of the table.

Sheffield United are on a terrible run at the moment and look like they might drop into the playoffs. If they carry that form into the playoffs they`ll be first beaten.
