…I’m of a view that the opening game in competition football is usually the most difficult. It’s a major bonus to start with a win as the winners are the ones that usually improve as it progresses.

This is quite a departure for us, giving so much info and players names for our u16s has never previously been our style, preferring to keep schoolboys out of the limelight.

Feels like it's definitely a conscious effort to advertise the 16s moving forward. As others have noted this is the polar opposite of how we normally behave/communicate.

Possibly will help our recruitment moving forwards as I don't think we're the intended audience of 'hey look our lads went kayaking' as much as it might be for kids and their parents. In any case I think the openess of tournament line ups and results is great.

…ah, I know Pafos FC little ground very well from our regular visits to Cyprus. I’d be disappointed if we don’t comfortably beat them.

Crucially also qualifies us for the PL International cup that we missed out on last season.

They should have given them new “ summer kit” as well with squad numbers as per the match numbers , it would have made easier spotting of the new players in these photos.
