A good result thanks to the penalty but we have to stop starting Doucouré please.
I really don't understand the situation with Doucoure. The leaks out of the club seem to suggest he won't be offered a new contract and, yet, he is first name on the team sheet, week after week. If he's so integral to our first team why isn't he getting a new contract? If he's not getting a new contract why are we relying on him so much? It's doing my head in.

I've not said anything about Miracle coaches.

Just stated that TFG have gone through a number of managers in a short space of time at Roma.

Do you think they will be different with Everton?
That'll depend on whether they fold at crowd discontent if that resurfaces which is often counter productive to long term health of a club.

We are back to drawing games for safety be it with hard fixtures lately - but it's back to Dyche ball.!

Well, we won't see Moyes as a progressive manager this life, but it's clearly more positive than under Dyche.

Focus is defending and let the opponent make the play, but definitely more pressing and chances.

Realistically he will end up between 25-27 points till the end of season, which is totally fine after 19 games in charge.

Get the point of not experimenting at the moment, but playing under performing players doesn't help either.

Sound, Moyes was a bit of penis after he left, the fanbase rightly went for him.

But hes back now, doing a decent job all told.

He won me over with his cracking start, now its fizzling out, tired squad, with many eyes on their future in the summer, I get it, hell even the fanbase is tired, last season at Goodison and its like a morgue each week.

The fanbase has suffered, its time to heal and what better way than a kind old man in a grey cardy.

In Moyes we Trust.
He's tired, he's stale, he lacks ambition...but he'll get us 40 points.

I think that's what you and others are saying here.

As soon the Moyes foundations eroded and Bobby’s influence became more deeply ingrained the levels fell off a cliff.
The only thing that went off the cliff was the club's lack of ambition to back Martinez in there second and third seasons with cash.

If Martinez had half of what that Dutch fraud got to throw down the towel we'd have been top 5 again.

…I have a feeling Moyes only wants to be here for the mid-term, I’d have doubts he’s even wanting another contract.

There’s a massive job on this summer, with so many players leaving I’m really not expecting a major rebuild within our spend envelope. I assume the owners will want a bit of stability and signs of progression going into the new stadium, next season could be a real challenge.
Correct mate.

Moyes is defo not the man to rebuild this team. It calls for a new manager with the motivation and vision to propel us where we belong: top half of the table and never leave there again; Euro places most seasons and the chance of cup successes. That's what we should be demanding as a minimum.

I will NEVER dumb down my expectations of Everton: like you, have been to the top of the mountain and I want us back there again.

These other posters who think cardy-wearing dullard Moyes is best for Everton have lost any idea of what Everton is about.

We have a world class stadium and they still dream about 40 points per season.

Let's be bold. Let's get back up there as contenders...it;s a crap league and it wont take much besides a very handy new manager and a bit of spending.

You think it took him until 2009 to build a team? You’re deranged, you need help.
The team that played in the 2009 cup final was the peak of team 1.

Then he rebuilt a handy second team.

But that was a young and hungry Moyes.

This feller cant even be arsed looking at our new world class stadium...
