That’s a good point. He has the touch to slide balls between full back and CB for breaking wide players, which we don’t have. At all. Needs to be find the gaps for Beto to run onto. CBs are wise to that already, but it would make them edge back towards their goal to avoid it.

The way he approaches the ball, you’d swear blind he’d be a beast at taking set-pieces. Thought he’d have wrestled that role for himself by now but he just hasn’t.

You never saw Bracewell then ? Every team needs a grafter that may not hit the headlines .Now Dukes ! we would not miss him .

Bracewell was far far more than a grafter. That pass for Trevor Stevens goal against Sunderland is still possibly one of the best passes ive seen at Goodison.
You might not have meant it to come over like that but a "grafter" could just be describing robbie savage. Not a title winning midfielder who could really play.

He's ok when we play a team that has better quality than us - he can be disruptive and gets stuck in enough. As soon as we need quality on the ball or we are likely to control possession, including periods within games, his limitations are immediately exposed.

Same i rate him, trying to give him a chance becuase of the real lack of movement and quality out wide. Would like see him take control of the game more has the technique
