The way PSR and injuries have been for us these past few seasons, I wouldn’t have been a bit surprised if we were in advanced talks pursuing Rob Newman as a striker.

Why? We need a central defender for sure, but we need to spend the real money on right wingers, a full back or two and a centre forward.

Think that this is majorly affected by the fact that our squad is constantly decimated by injuries that our medical staff seem to take an age to turn around.

Tarkowski is the least of our worries, we will need a squad and if Obrien moves inside to partner Branthwaite, Tarkowski will be a very decent backup.

Agree , but think that Tarks , Myko and Beto are useful still (perhaps as rotation / squad players) whilst resources are targetted at priority areas and upping quality additions / replacements , along with players with more potential and upside.

We are never going to win anything with them
