New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Very interesting read, thanks for posting.

Would love us to buy Nelson Dock - and Salisbury Dock with the docker's clock if we're getting greedy.

That would just bring up maintenance costs. Peel need to sort it out. just imagine if the walls/gates of the dock needed repairing... 🤑🤑🤑

Would be helpful to partially fill it in to allow for a wider walkway behind the South Stand. At some point some lids are going to end up falling in after a game or jumping in for a swim.

The South stand walkway is the size of a motorway - it's big enough.

is there any reason its 52,800? really like we shulde be closer to 60 and im sure a higher figure was always mooted
Always felt like it wouldn’t be big enough as soon as it was mooted. Yes it’s bigger than what we have, but if the ambition is to be at the top, we will very quickly be falling behind again when Newcastle are mooting 65-70k etc for a new stadium.

C’mon

Stadium capacity is not a precursor for success.

Not bothered what Newcastle do anyway

Block 200 showing the green dot on the ST map, drill down nothing there!
Was that block even released anyway

I think there is a few bugs on the map. I noticed one area where there are seats being offered which are clearly not normal season tickets but can be purchased as such.

There is already outline planning permission for Nelson Dock for a mixed use leisure, entertainment, housing and sport (floating “multi-use games platform”) as part of the revised Liverpool Waters master plan but the dock is to be kept as-is. It will not be filled in and it is unlikely any attempt to do differently would get permission.

The aim in the master plan was to create something to match up (not mirror/echo) the Albert Dock area to help tie in the whole waterfront from Arena to our stadium via the historic landmarks, hotel, homes and parkland in between. If we/TFG buy it we can give it an Everton branded spin with street names, residential block names etc. and create a new Everton Village.

I think we should also be looking to buy the block over the road where people want to put that marquee thing and create a giant Everton themed sports bar/restaurant which can be a proper permanent hosting space for Everton Heritage and the supporters clubs etc.

I think the stadium site diminishes significantly if Nelson Dock gets filled.

We can build around it, but I want that water kept.

Imagine losing this:

I agree, but this is not a bad 'substitute' like...

Who said it is?

Ultimately though, the demand is there (by the fact we had a 30k waiting list) and if the ambition is to be at the top, that demand will only increase. 60k also opens up to being able to host quarters/semis of comps like the World Cup.

Newcastle was just an example.
