New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

The stadium has n`t even been officially opened so I doubt anyone is planning to extend any part of the stadium.
I doubt there will be any firm plans to expand for the next 5-10 years but its important for the club to scope out and protect areas for expansion if it is required in future. The problem with GP is that it was hemmed in, it'd be foolish to allow that to happen at BMD.

Would a Nelson Dock redevelopment comprise of the area in red (approx) or would they also in-fill it (either partially or fully) like what has been done at BMD?

Would be helpful to partially fill it in to allow for a wider walkway behind the South Stand. At some point some lids are going to end up falling in after a game or jumping in for a swim.

I think it will be to address the long term parking issue the club has, there are currently only 45 parking space for the whole club on the site of Bramley Moore. Stick a multi storey car park there, with a few bars, an entertainment complex and food courts and everyone will be happy.

This is quite good from Colin Chong , we are five years ahead of any competitor and are in talks with Peel about buying Nelson Dock and building something “complimentary “ to BMD…
An Everton with a plan? Will still take me some time to get used to that madness

Finally some decent owners it seems, not hanging around.

If they do this, I could see them having one eye on a stadium expansion in the coming years, I read that the east stand can be made bigger
Not having that. Bought my seat now..and I will not be moved (well maybe if I get a better seat) ;)

I think its very interesting he used the words "protect the new stadium".

That is important - anyone could buy Nelson Dock and throw something up.
My 1st thoughts when I read it.

Hopefully it would stop another developer having carte blanche building skyscrapers that would totally diminish the New stadiums look.
Far better the club were in control of things.

Our American owners must be astonished that a new stadium was built without parking ! Having said that Peel will have a say in what is built on Nelson Dock so as not to detract from their Liverpool Waters plans.

Just measured that, it's about 20m from the southern wall of the stadium to the dock boundary fence.

That's twice as wide as Gwladys Street.

If anyone is taking a dip, they're jumping or being thrown in.

In an era where people are quick to pile in to Everton, I have to say that Chong has done a good job and I’m glad he’s part of the future.
