New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

I get what you're saying, but there's also the flip side of a real world, none filtered photo:

when the dock has its own mini garbage island floating in it, it kinda ruins the effect.

Hopefully, they shrink the dock down to keep a patch of water, but build entertainment and retail around the sides.
Yeah, except it's currently a derelict dock next to a building site.

It won't look like that once it's actually being looked after.

Very encouraged by that Chong article, few take homes:

We now know what his new role will be. Goodison Legacy and expansion - of for want of a better word the Docks project.

Its becoming increasingly clear the Women's teams are going to be a key pillar for us going forward - many haven't spoken it about but the women's game has huge scope and can be a real money spinner. There is a whole tragic management movement happening in its development .......watch this space.

Really encouraged by Chong doing that role and also the scale of the TFG ambition in all honesty.

What's really exciting is the scale, scope and finance likely to achieve all that's in that article and that our new owners have that ambition.

F it, im excited.

All aboard the Dan train!

something like this maybe? There would be enough water for the reflection whilst pinching some land to expand the South Stand.
They may also do similar with the areas in red depending on what their plans are and what the costs would be.

Yeah, your blue section is basically what I had in mind. It might just make expansion possible without totally distorting the roofline and making everything totally lopsided like SJP or Anfield. Obviously the other side you could "easily" expand would be the east stand but this would have more chance of ending up ugly I think, with a silly looking mega stand stuck on the side. Cant ever see any scope on the North or West

Its a long way ahead anyway even as a theoretical discussion. But it would be nice if we were now the type of club that had half an eye on 15/20 years ahead and created options for ourselves.

Would it not be better and cheaper to take up the land and buildings behind the North stand ?

That would allow us to make that North Stand as big as the South.....also doesnt block the view of South to City.

I'm sure we could come to some arrangement regarding the airspace over the edge of UU's land for the North Stand if we wanted to expand that to the same height as the rest of the ground - but beyond that, the logistics of shifting a water treatment plant of that size would be pretty chunky, I imagine.

It's not just the facility itself, it's all the pipework delivering sewerage to it from miles around.
