I thought mersey ferry is one of the more profitable elements of merseytravel or tourism, hence building a new ferry for 25mill. Could be wrong mind.The ferries are barely if at all profitable and I don't envisage them throwing more money at another terminal that is only required 25-30 days a year as romantic as it sounds. The only target market here is those around Seacombe where there isn't a nearby rail station. People can just as easily drive to a merseyrail station and catch a train.
Not sure if a deal can be done with the isle of man terminal on match days to stop the fatties crying about a 25 min walk
