If Sandhills is gonna be rammed, the ferry might be better.
There’s no reason for anyone on the train from the Wirral to go to Sandhills , you can get off at Lime st, Central or James st and get a Soccerbus service to the ground and back to either Commutation row or Liverpool 1 bus station.

You have to factor in the British establishment ... various people / bodies who need to be paid for permission / tax / health and safety / environment tax / god knows what else, too many fingers in so many pies. Old tractor tyres not good for the environment so must buy new / environment tax and energy needed to make concrete / magic circle involvement making the concrete float / money for old rope to tie it up.

Then you have contractors, preferred masonic civil engineers, kickbacks for the decision makers, various other approvals from other stake holders and a bit of snake oil.

Inevitably the council and the government will want their slices for permissions too.

60m for a float chained to a concrete wall and a few tyres sounds cheap in today's rip-off Britain.

I've just had a quote of nearly £2000 for a dropped kerb - 5 kerbs for a council approved (they paid a hefty amount for permission to work for the council) couple if men, a digger and an afternoon's work. the quote details the gravel needed underneath rhe tarmac. Why are they providing and charging for gravel when they MUST take gravel away to create a slope? Am I the only person ever to question this?

Doubt it, there are a lot of us aging curmudgeons about. 😘

How much does all that add up to ?

Down at Brighton they have free train journey for all match ticket holders to and from the ground for a certain time before and after the game. Would this encourage folks to us the shuttle bus service if we included it?

You’d like to think so , I assume Brighton pay a fixed fee to the train operating company as I don’t remember even showing my match ticket when I’ve used that service.

Didn't think they were valid on Soccerbus ?
Looks like they are , scroll down this page

Does anyone else worry that we won't actually get safety clearance to open Bramley Moore? I was just thinking considering how many bizzies it took to escort RS across park last month and you still had objects flying from both sides. How would it work, with fans almost certain to bump into each other, opposition fans walk into town with one another, could easily lead to problems.
