2024/25 David Moyes

Since Moyes has taken over, we've earned the second most points in the league. Yet still you cryarses want more.
Most teams get a new manger bounce.
Moyes’ has lasted 2 months which has got us to 2-3 places higher in the league, which is great.
At the end of the day, he has the same accumulation of negative spend players collected over many mangers that Dyche had.

All of that with a raft of injuries and missing our best player for the past month. Under the former manager we roll over yesterday to lose 2-0 to stay 1 point clear of the drop zone and everyone says “what do you expect him to do without Ndiaye, McNeil and DCL??”

Levels.

He made a mistake starting Doucoure behind Beto last night. The two games he gave Alcaraz a start we looked a lot more dangerous going forward as the pair of them seem to have clicked. I can`t understand what seems to make Doucoure look like he is so important that he gets the starting spot as with him in the team there is no reliable support for Beto up top but he doesn`t seem to help out the midfield, he`s constantly running around like a headless chicken.

Doucoure brings work rate and defending from the front. Alcaraz can't tackle. When we sat in and played on the break it suited Alcaraz, if we're going to push onto teams it doesn't suit him as much.

If you regard running around aimlessly as work rate. Defending from the front, not sure about that, he`s certainly not helping us enough in moving forward. Beto was n`t getting much help from him last night, and surely when you`re being played in support of the CF that`s something you should be able to do.

I didn't say Doucoure was a good player, I just said he defends from the front unlike Alcaraz. I think it's undeniable that defensively he's the better of the 2, the question is whether that's what you look for in a number 10.

I agree with him. It was a good point. We had an off day as a team but a lot of that was down to Wolves who played well and were dangerous

I thought that was a rubbish statement post match, tbh. Excusing a poor performance.

If he'd come out and said that we missed a great chance to get ourselves up near mid-table it'd have been a better and more convincing assessment.

Maybe. But I think he was right when he said Wolves have been playing well recently. I thought they looked good last night, especially first half. I’ll take a point personally
