2024/25 David Moyes

Not going to slate Moyes for tonight after what he has done for us so far. The players had an off day and still never got beat. Tonight will highlight to Moyes what is needed for the summer. He has been here 2 months and performed miracles with this team yet knows he needs more quality. We are safe and he will be looking forward to pre-season with added quality. Upwards and onwards

Just a way too cautious approach second half.

The context was this: we're safe, Wolves are nervy about their PL survival. We should have exploited that all night. We should have pressed them high up the pitch for the bulk of the 90 minutes and wait for them to slip up, which they would have.

Having Wolves play in front of us all second half was appalling. Maybe Moyes thought the way we nicked it at Palace was the way to go. We almost did it again, but that's no way to approach a game against a side struggling.

If Cunha played there tonight we're on the receiving end of a loss, no question.

Only Gana comes out of that with any credit.

Players looked knackered after 60 minutes - maybe a week in the sun on the all you can eat buffets was a silly idea.

and if Ndiaye played I am sure we still would have got something out of it. We and Moyes can see we lack squad depth and quality, this will be rectified in the summer. 8 games unbeaten with lack of quality and lack of depth and with many injuries is a big massive thumbs up to Moyes

An astounding lack of context in regards to squad quality and depth here from the non Everton fan. Agenda agenda agenda.

Still a vastly depleted squad. Still unbeaten in 8. Manager doing a very good job. Do go away.

The point is that we all know from the first time around that Moyes has a negative streak in him. He wont go for it on many an occasion.

That's still in his DNA - no matter where he's been to on his travels.

Dont expect this leopard to change his spots.

I suspect that the collective memory of Evertonians will come back next season when we see golden opportunities spurned by this manager. He's hard-wired that way and it's what pissed Evertonians off with him in the end last time around.

Agreed

Not really, think it was more the players had their day rather than overachieving, Moyes has done great but it’s still a poor bunch of players.
I think you could see it was an off day from the midfielders and attack. Gana has never passed backwards that often due to no forward passes available because the forward players would not attempt to drop off. Don't think we have over achieved with Moyes just think we didn't attempt to play footy under Dyche
