Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

His book value will be low now. 12 mill wasn’t it in Jan 22? He’s prob got about 4-5 mill of book value left. The loss wouldn’t be that big if we flogged him for a few mill.

I’d rather rehabilitate him if we can but that’s the second manager in a row calling him out now.

2 years on his deal. I think it would be wiser to loan him for a season and possibly sell next summer.

Lower book value and a chance to impress.

Was publicly told to step up by Moyes his week...If that's not wake up call I dont know what is.
Yeah i kno has had injuries again just feel he has had his chance here but you look at it with a player like obrien who wants to be in the team. Who both him and patterson both under dyche didnt really feature in his plans, just doesnt look like he has the fight in him.

Just purely from a defensive point of view far to times have I seen wingers get in behind him.

I don't think he's PL level defender.

Was a very long time since he did have that run in the team and looked promising. Hard to make a case to keep him, slso if what your saying his attitude
I think through no fault of his own injuries have definitely stunted his growth.

Also it hasn't helped the high turnover of manager we've had.

Young players benefit from continuity, something we've not been able to offer him.

Weve been linked to Theo Hernandez...Rafael Leao of course as well is a huge name -- but I noticed Tomori mentioned.

2 years on his deal, rapid and could offer a different 'dimension' to Tarkowski and O'Brien at RCB/RB.

May be an interesting piece to add to the chessboard?

He needs a good clip around the earhole and told to buck up his ide….oh..

Already been done and it failed.. :-(
His agent leaked that to the press and when it all come out I blamed Patterson for it.

At that time a load negative press was surrounding the club and i though him letting his agent go to the press over it would have been terribly damaging for the club while we were fighting relegation.

On reflection I feel mortified over it, anyone raising their hands to you in your place of work isn't on.

I actually think it was @MikeH72 that pulled rank on me and made me see sense.

Thats the beauty of this forum.

Sometimes you can come on here when you're not in the right frame of mind and post something, off the cuff but people will know your posting style enough to know you don't mean what you say.

Yes mate. Dyche was a disgusting bully as well as a terrible manager and Margaret Thatcher fan.

I know mate...at that moment I was nervous wreck with us,i thought a negative news story from inside could have been avoided.

I was well wrong in highensight...Whether it Dyche or anyone else.

It's also the 21st century,you can't and you shouldn't hush it up.

I think a more submissive character wouldn’t shrunk into his seat and not stood up to him, someone like a McNeil or Keane. Fair play to Patterson for not taking it lying down.

If we had anyone in a position of authority actually present at the club at that time I think he would’ve been gone on gross misconduct.
