I don't only have doubts based on that one remark. Numerous club figures have remarked on PSR still being a consideration for the club, we've just built a giant expensive stadium (although refinancing will certainly help), there's been no noise leaking from the club about signings or spending, no noise from agents linking us to player x, y and z, and we still have relatively poor commercial income and high wages. I maintain that we are unlikely to have a blockbuster summer.

I couldn't care less about the 1st July. I obviously want some new players in before the first game if the season but if we have to wait to get the players we actually need, so be it.

P.S. two keepers on the bench is an absolute waste of time. It is a manager being a petulant child. I think less of any manager who does it. Give an academy prospect a match day experience if you aren't planning on using a player on the bench. What's Begovic or Virginia getting out of it? Nothing.
Do other PL teams do it?

And the lack of media links is nothing to worry about, come the Summer and every tom dick and harry will be linking us to garbage hourly, I have seen loads already myself.

I dunno what your idea of a blockbuster summer is, so I cant comment on that.

Considering the amount of players we need, I suspect it will be full of "Who the hell is that" comments.

The majority of our academy players are better suited playing every week for the U21s or out on loan, I dont see what they benefit from being stuck on a bench.

I wonder if the 2 GK on the bench is from his PTSD from Ian Turner being sent off, when he was our third choice and ended up having to play a 4th choice, and highly inexperienced John Ruddy.
Several clubs do it. Newcastle had dubravka and ruddy on their bench in the it last game as one example.

Edit. As did man United and Aston Villa.

I imagine Moyes has recently been doing it because we have no players available.

It's a message. You haven't given me options so I'm wasting a spot on the bench on at least one player who definitely won't be used. It's idiotic.

No offence but I highly doubt that. Begovic is meant to be a "cheer leader" and can see him always having him on the bench.

I don't think Moyes wants to upset the owners with a less than 2 year contract.

Refreshing to see that the owners have a clear vision for how the football club will be run, have appointed a CEO to implement it and will be moving forward with a properly implemented plan that all the most successful clubs have been using. Oh . . .

Some do, most don't (goalkeepers on the bench), because it's a waste of time. Fine, don't put a kid on the bench, just pick 8 players, why waste Begovic's time, he could be grooming his wife's horse instead or having a nice cup of tea watching the real housewives. Same outcome.

We won't sign that many players, is my prediction, and we'll renew the contracts of some horrors. Hope I'm wrong.

I spoke to Richard Kenyon at one of the Dan Meis presentations at St. Lukes .Thought he was a switched on guy. Surprised he's been binned.
He's been here forever. During his time as Chief Commercial and Communications Officer has the commercial side progressed well? How about the communications for, let's say, a certain headlock related incident. All good? He's a wasteman, good riddance.

Not really sure about the new model as like before dont kno much about the new people coming in. Just hopefully is a better structure with people going the same way, not just controlled by moyes. So we can carry on even after he has left to target a similar styled manager who can fit the project of the club. Hate saying it but like the rs did, i have wanted a change for a long time just hopefully now can finally move in the right direction
