I honestly think in hindsight there was more positives than negatives for Beto in that game. He is really quick and that must be a nightmare for defenders. First chance was a poor decision. 2nd chance he's hit it similar to how he did against Palace but just didn't happen for him. Third chance looked like it was going top corner but keeper was inspired.

Fluffed his lines on the first one.

Good save on the second one, could have done a little better.

Absolutely robbed on the third one.

Also who was the last Everton striker who got in clean on goal three times in the same game?

Stuart Barlow at Anfield. (With the same outcome)

Someone will remember!

He was in position for the chances. He didn't take them but was in position. All the one on ones he seems to favour the goalies left so I hope he isn't stuck in that mindset or he will quickly be found out. Beto though doesn't give up and sulk and even though he had missed self made chances I think he can write this off as a bad day at the office and know his luck will be with him on another day..........again.

I have been one his biggest supporters and even I think he got schooled tonight by the keeper. He should have put at least one of them away but you cannot get it right every night. It just don't happen even for the best strikers. And despite the misses I thought he was brilliant. He keeps us in the game and defenders have to account for him. His movement is top class- his goal against the Mancs is a great example. So easy to stray offsides there. He is improving leaps and bounds. Want to see him improve in these situations where the keeper is reading him well. Gotta have more tricks in his arsenal.
