Weir was a cone later under Moyes who he wanted installed as Everton manager so he could dictate to him over any transfers between the two clubs.

Weir at Brighton - his job entails him nurse mailing young pros. He is completely and utterly unqualified to carry out a DoF role.

Rangers

On 16 January 2007, Weir signed for Rangers on an initial six-month deal after Everton released him from his contract early.

Could have just typed that, save everyone the trouble.

Do you blame David Weir turning Everton down…5am calls from moshiri saying be can sign bale for 250k a week

I blame Weir for the mess Brighton are in relative to the fortune spent since be became DOF in all but title there.

You can turn both of them examples into positives tbh mate. Wanting to destroy other clubs for your own clubs gain shows a real devotion and loyalty to the club you work for and i hope he has the same attitude if he becomes our CEO. Destroy them all apart from your own club sounds good to me. For too long we have been the leagues nice guys and it has never gotten us anywhere.

And if we end up getting someone who previously turned us down then we are getting someone who was good enough and was wanted enough by other clubs to be able to turn us down. No problem with that me. Its no secret how bad we have been ran the last few years.

Neither Kinnear nor Weir appear to have done anything even remotely close to average. They seem poor choices.

Sounds like the beginnings of a poem, Zat. Keep working on it

...i keep hearing the Prodigy 'Charly says'

Id say its seems pretty underwhelming, but who am I to argue with Dan? Their teams have won 8 of 10 in the league and Roma is through to the round of 16 in Europa.

They fluked bringing back two ageing managers after making an absolute pigs ear of things.

Starting to sound a lot like Davek!

2 for 2 in their last 2 managers hires seems pretty good to me and less flukey.

As Ive gotten older Ive found more and more that success is less always making brilliant decisions, and more moving on from your mistakes until you hit a good one and then sticking with it.

A fluke, twice?

Their only efc manager appt is moyes. Mourinho won them the trophy the fans craved and then lost in the final the next year. I like your scouting posts, don't make me daveblock you with this hyperbole.

I don’t think zat man knows what a fluke is tbh

Do you reckon they thought Ranieri and Moyes would put together these results?

I think (and most thought with Ranieri) they just wanted a couple of old hands to get them through till summer. That and being 'fan favourites' of course.
