Given what you suggest we'd have no backup left back, only three CBs, only three centre mids, no backup number ten. And unless you believe Patterson is capable then no backup right back either.
Unless you're suggesting keeping hold of the OOC players who besides for Gueye should all be getting waved goodbye.
I do agree on quality over quantity though, but you ain't getting 5 quality players for 100m especially when you're talking about two wingers/wide forwards and a striker.
That's assuming you accounted for making the two permanent loans in excess for the amount you said.
Just to have a squad that is gonna be able to play a season we need realistically - 2/3 fullbacks, a centre back, 2 centre mids, a wide forward a striker and a number ten.

Just to tread water that's a FB, CB, CM, AM, Winger and striker minimum needed. And that's factoring in making two loans permanent deals.
Throw in Coleman, Broja, and we are another FB and striker down. And that's not counting we went into the season at least a left back and a winger short already.
