ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

No reason we can’t get something at Anfield. Go there and beat them and put another nail in their season.
Exactly this. The pressure is all on them. I've heard it loads about how they're looking forward to playing us at Anfield.... No they're not. We are the last team they want to play in their run in. No other team in the league is more motivated to take points off them.

Even against terrible Everton teams they’ve needed some scandalous refereeing for recent wins at Anfield: the Gordon non penalty, the Konate red that wasn’t given, the Calvert Lewin penalty waved away. Even the flukey Origi goal they deserved nothing from that game we battered them.

More dropped points tonight - but in reality they need to be actually losing these games if Arsenal are to stand any chance of properly closing the gap..
Trying to understand the logic here.

If Arsenal win and RS draw then Arsenal make up 2 points. Gap closed by 2 points. If it happens a few times the gap won't exist.

No, I don't understand.

Have they or Slot become too complacent? Since blitzing Spurs in the LC semi they’ve lost with a second string side to Plymouth, drew with us, fail to register a second half shot on target v Wolves and were a VAR call away from losing tonight
You could be a spin doctor. Mention this but ignore the fact they won. I do agree though that they aren't performing well at the moment.

I think the logic is that if they’re dropping 3 points instead of 2 the gap would have a better chance of closing. We need City to beat them and Arsenal to beat West Ham this weekend as a start.

Does this mean that when it was 2 points for a win teams would have to concede defeat if they were 5 points behind? I'm assuming that Arsenal win their game in hand.

No one needs to concede defeat. Nothing is won in February. There’s still 36 points to play for. If City beat them and Arsenal beat West Ham it’s all to play for.
