I'm fifty years old....

I'm fifty years old and right now I have the same feeling I last had on a Christmas Eve aged about 7/8.

I have NEVER been so excited over a game in years. The games against United and Chelsea in 2009 felt so different - right now at this moment in time it is pure excitement about what I truly believe is going to happen tomorrow.

I'm 37 years old and I have the same feeling that I had before my driving test, GCSE exams, first day at secondary school and first day at work - just praying(really praying) I don't have the same feeling I had after the respective 84, 86 and 89 finals....

• Since 1986, Liverpool have won seven of their eight semi-finals, with Crystal Palace (1990) being the only team to eliminate them in this period

• Everton have been knocked out at this stage more times (11) than any other club in the history of the competition

• Liverpool have had one clean sheet in their last 12 games in all competitions, but that was against Everton in the league

• Nikica Jelavic has scored four times in his past four starts for Everton

• This fixture has seen more red cards in the Premier League (10) than any other

I was going to start a new thread, but might as well say it in this one.

I won't be there tomorrow - for very boring reasons, which I won't go into.

If there's a forum fairy who grants wishes and she's reading this - I only wish for the perfect day for you lot tomorrow.

And I'll be telly clapping and crying when we score and yous sing your hearts out.

Safe journey x

I feel exactly the same. Seems like this match has reawakened the passions in even the most world weary Evertonians like ourselves. Those of us who normally try to take things more philosophically are having sleepless nights.
I can relate to the Christmas Eve analogy.
Come on Father Christmas, we've been good this year

Think Bry made a thread the other day about it being our biggest game for 10 years. Obviously the Cup Final was a bigger game in terms of it being a final, granted, but I didn't feel nervous all week before, like I have this week, I totally know what he meant. At Wembley v Liverpool, nothing beats that

I probably won't sleep tonight

A few comments off Twitter

Gary Lineker : Two huge FA Cup semis this weekend. If they were on the BBC i'd remain neutral but they're not, so come on Everton and Spurs

Barrie Ainsley: Good Luck #Everton tomorrow. Hope you go all the way! #EFC from a #SAFC fan
I notice Hansen, Lawrenson and the other fcukers never seem to feel any fcuking obligation to be neutral on the BBC (or any channel for that matter)
