Atmosphere is reflective of whats going on on the pitch, and atmosphere in and around the club at that moment in time...as weve seen ourselves. Think we'll be ok with this new ground
Full house, debut home prem game, full team plus new signings, blue smoke everywhere, the sirens start, them Z Cars, the noise will be popping eardrums all over the gaff!I watched it on YouTube last night and it sounded loud enough when the teams walked out, I can only imagine the noise from 50,000 blues as the sirens start and the blue invincibles walk out. I would imagine it will be loud, proud and very intimidating.
The Lower Gwladys holds many younger supporters (a lot of supporters are in there twenties or thirties) and those supporters stand for the whole game, so I definitely think there will be demand for standing - just not throughout the ground. Is there really that much demand for standing at the new ground? I don't think the safe standing seats were quick to sell out to STH's and when you look around at Goodison it's definitely an ageing support, often it's a sea of grey heads. Maybe we're all looking forward to resting our tired legs and booing in comfort.
Blimey lad. Have you ever been to a non league game? Everyone stands, all ages.Is there really that much demand for standing at the new ground? Everyone stands for the whole game in the LG (asside from in the corners where a few sit down at times,) the question is, how many of those choose to stand and how many just stand because the people in front of them are standing? If the whole LG loves standing for the whole match, one would expect a lot more demand for the safe standing spots at the new ground. The Lower Gwladys holds many younger supporters (a lot of supporters are in there twenties or thirties) and those supporters stand for the whole game, so I definitely think there will be demand for standing - just not throughout the ground.
We aren't going down though so we don't need to prepare for non-league football.Blimey lad. Have you ever been to a non league game? Everyone stands, all ages.
That's correct, but it will work for those who wish to have safe standing at the game anyway. Personally, I think the atmosphere is better when stood up at the game, but that is a matter of personal opinion.Everyone stands for the whole game in the LG (asside from in the corners where a few sit down at times,) the question is, how many of those choose to stand and how many just stand because the people in front of them are standing? It was steep, but not unsafe, not as steep as Top Balcony, and people regularly celebrate up there, ive sat there for 28 years.

I was in the lower and it felt steep, looking at the pictures it looks even steeper up there. Almost dangerous in fact. I remember falling about 5 rows down at wembley in 2009, this looks even steeper than that...
The fans last nighted weren’t interested in creating an atmosphere, they were there to be the first to view everything in and around the ground. A good chunk of them were gone by halftime and disappeared as the game went on.Sounded silent last night, which is mad considering there were 10,000 people there.
