Sorry for bringing it up the forum and don't wanna bring mood down, but dilated cardiomyopathy, caused by infection, not in needing transplant territory, but 50:50 I get better enough for a normal life or I'll never be a surgeon again. Just gotta wait it out, but the blues and my 3&5 year old have kept me positive 💙
I hope everything works out for you mate stay positive

Mate if there's anything that'll cheer you up let people know on here. Brave and strong of you to post that on here 💙

Here are some photographs I took from tonight's game.

A magnificent venue, which tonight's result did not do justice to. If you're attending the second event and it's cold, wear thick gloves!

The food looked excellent, the steepness of the stand was impressive and the views of the pitch were second to none. On the odd occasion when the supporters burst into song or celebration, the acoustics seemed decent. We'll need a bit of time to settle in, but I really hope the atmosphere (and result) is better at the second test event!

One thing that could have been better is the stairwells. I felt they were too narrow and this led to a fair bit of foot congestion.

It's beginning to feel real now. Very real.

Yeah, things like this are bigger than football. Good on your kids for keeping you positive! Thoughts are with you.

Enjoyed reading back through this thread seeing people go completely over the top at an U18 friendly.

Never change.
People calling for a root and branch review over a kickabout in pretty alien circumstances.

Also got to remember that Armstrong would still be eligible for that team if he hadn’t far exceeded the level. That’s an academy success that doesn’t reflect in academy results, not that that one mattered anyway.

Not sure if it's been said, but the Wigan No3 was excellent. He put the stoppers on everything we had. We only had any joy down our left, and nothing at all down the right. He really did have an absolute stormer. No idea who he was.
Ya my father was saying the same about him he was impressive
