That’s exactly what I said we had, and want back, when we got rid of Moyes first time.
We got rid of him, cos he hit a ceiling of 5th and we had ambitions beyond that and wanted to push on. As it turned out we didn’t, and have ended back where we started.
Agree with the backing in the summer stuff.

I totally believe Moyes can get us top 5 and in Europe even in a year. I really do. I just don’t see him anymore as a Kenwright leftover. Not at all. See, Kenwright was who he was until the bitter end. Moyes is a changed man in my eyes.
The David Moyes of almost two decades ago and this version aren’t even the same person. He’s wise. I can see he has success and regret woven into him that he’s chosen to learn from and become better. I really do believe in him.
You may not ageee, but I think he’s a far superior manager right now to Arteta, Pep, and Slot and I’ll tell you why. Arsenal, the RS, and Citeh have everything they want, a limitless budget, they get what they want, they’re protected by the PL. Just about any idiot could go in tomorrow and manage those clubs. All you have to do is start the same guys, point to the pitch, and tell them to go make football.
Moyes has instantly elevated and transformed us. He’s dealt with injuries and yet we still get better. Arsenal draws one match and Mikel’s head is about to pop like a swollen tick. Citeh lose a bunch in a row because Rodri goes down and the whole thing goes to sh—. Pep has no clue what to do. Slot drew with us and had a temper tantrum and got booked. Pathetic.
Those clubs are just the best paid guns for hire with zero loyalty. This version of Moyes is brilliant. He’s out-managing all of them.
