You added 'context' but I said to you that even with that additional context it doesn't change the fact it's a clunky answer to the question, so whether I watched the whole press conference or just the clip would have made no difference, I still would have come to the same conclusion.
If it turned out that later in the press conference he'd said 'Look, racism in all forms is disgraceful and needs to be stamped out, we're supporting him through this but he shouldn't have to put up with and we all need to stand together and say enough is enough' then you could justifiably say that the Sky clip was out of context and you needed to see the whole thing. As it was, while the Sky clip didn't show every word, the overall impression it gives was exactly the same, so there was no need to have seen the whole thing.
As I said in the first place, it's not a massive deal and is likely to be more the fault of the comms team than the manager, but people saying we dropped the ball a bit are right in my opinion.
