Give him his credit Joey.

Moyes isn't finishing those strikes, Beto is.
Yes, in a totally different team set up concentrating on attacking football - evidently training under Dyche was 100% defence - I have stated he knows how to slot a goal home worked hard he & the whole team are playing a totally different system - thank god !

We have a big blow in more injuries that's two players kicked that nylon/ woven grass turf at Goodison sadly injured long term ....

We know he struggles with parts of his game but you just have to applaud the lad, he's stepped in on the back of DCLs injury and more than played his part, scoring some really important goals, putting himself about and always gives 💯 Some of his goals have been cracking finishes, loved the way he bent his run last night and slotted it past Allison, great finish as well

He’s one of the most random players I’ve ever watched, I honestly thought he was useless but he’s starting to prove people wrong which is great to see.

Reminds me of Prince Oumar.
I hated Niasse (and I still think he's pound for pound one of the worst signings we've ever made, but that's a debate for another day), and I've got to admit that I was getting close to putting Beto in the same category.

Thing is, when I watched Niasse's YouTube highlights before he got here, I was v concerned as he looked terrible in them and how can anyone look bad in their highlights video?

With Beto, I watched his before he got here and I was excited. Not technically brilliant, but really fast, direct, powerful and seemed to be able to finish - it's taken until Moyes got here to really see any of that.

Being honest, I still don't rate the lad but I love his attitude and he does have some stuff going for him. Best outcome I can see is that we play to his strengths over the rest of the season and he's maybe got enough value that we sell him without losing any money, but even that would be a big improvement from where he was a couple of months ago where he was resembling a competition winner.

Still, as I said last night, the derby was by an absolute country mile the best game he's played for us, so you have to give credit where it's deserved. Hope he makes me look stupid.

I loved Niasse, but I think it was just cos of how funny he was to watch, him and Beto are so unorthodox that they must be a nightmare for players to mark as they are so random.

Beto has a big chance now to get a decent amount of goals before the end of the season, with Ndaiye being out we are going to need him to.
