Let's not forget, bar Martinez, not one manager since got near his performance levels consistently. With far greater resources in the main.

I think people forget how much he did across the whole club set up as well.
Tbf it’s difficult to show any consistency when you get sacked after 1.5 season.
Moyes would have been too after his first 1.5 seasons if it was under Moshiri

I'd say 40, in his last spell as manager, no matter how good a start to a season we had, his stock answer when asked if he thought we could challenge for honours was always. 'lets get to 40 points first and then we'll see'.

That was at a time when teams were regularly going down with 38 points though. The landscape has changed, and 40 points is no longer the safety requirement. He will know this, he’s been managing in this league the whole time. 35 points is the new 40 points.

Doing as well as anybody we could have hired imo.

The rest of the season will be interesting as he doesn't have much of a squad given our injuries (especially NDiaye).

Once the threat of relegation subsides some fans will get impatient with him no doubt before the summer.

I hope he gets the chance to spend a bit in the summer and a season at BMD.

We’ll win a few, we’ll get beat in a few. Some weeks it’ll be rubbish, others will be sound.

Due to the squad it’s going to end this season pretty much like that but one thing he has done is make these games enjoyable & far more competitive. Ihope it continues because while it might be nostalgia, I’ve enjoyed every league game since he’s been back.

That’s even before we talk about the tactical side & him being far better than the previous managers.

Something about fixtures, fans, bedwetting etc etc

I think we've seen more through ball assists in one month under Moyes then we did in Dyche's entire two years reign. It's got to be incredibly close at least - think that's three so far isn't it? Garner, Tarkowski, Branthwaite.

Credit where credit is due there.

You have to play to your strengths and Betos strength is clearly running on to through balls.

Might be able to bring it down, but that's not how he's suited.

They they they they
"I think it was hugely important that Evertonians get to finish at their stadium as best as they can," he said. "I just feel the support in here was unbelievable, it was incredible support and I think it was fitting they got an end like they did."

Needs to learn to think before he speaks.
