This is just so so so so poor

Moyes, who guided the Blues to four Merseyside derby wins during his first spell in the Goodison hot seat, added: “We knew about him but it was mainly because of, more than anything if I'm being honest, his availability if I'm being really honest. The recruitment team knew a bit about him but we knew about him when he was at Southampton.”
What’s the difference between being honest and being really honest?

People trying to read into Moyes words.

He got the lad on the pitch within a day or 2 of him signing, he clearly rates the lad.

So actions > words.

Stop listening to what people are saying and watch what they do.
Oh I agree - it’s not like he’s tantruming or being egotistical, but I found the dividing line he drew between “we” - whoever “we” are - and the recruitment team interesting.

The Bobble said on a podcast that it was Alcaraz's people who reached out to Everton first, so this makes sense.

Remember being beaten by Watford at home and Doucoure was one of a big midfield that just bullied us with power and presence, it was just so awkward to get around them or through them, think Watford won by 2 or 3, we some times dont notice that attributes someone brings off the bal to the team or not on the play. I always found with Doucoure we really missed him when he was injured and not in the team. All that said i do feel father time has caught up with him and hes lost half a yard in the last year.

As for Charley, its either the the Garner spot or hybrid 10. For all he did good on Sat, i was watching him off the ball and he was a bit lazy at times, so i doubt he will come in for Garner - it will be for the Duke in my opinion. His game seems centred around energy and engine, so moving up and down between the lines. He was in acres of space on times Saturday arriving late, though we didn't seem savvy to it - hopefully thats a process of getting used to him.
As in Charly was lazy? I didn’t think he was at all, I thought he was constantly on the go and was getting back to support the deference and trying to then progress it forward.

Definitely, Moyes will improve his positioning etc but I don’t think it was down to him being lazy.

It’s a critique rather then a judgement, there was a couple of times without he didn't get back as quick as I would have liked on Sat, noticed he jogged back couple of times when our offensive play broke down, was thinking to myself that needs to be coached out of him here in the English game and what we will need in that role. I don’t really expect him to be fully integrated into our game in 4 days, it’s an observation.

To be very fair he won a turnover coming back from an advanced position from behind.

Reads to me like he's saying "one of Thelwell's."

Definitely seems to be drawing a line between "we" and "the recruitment team," which isn't a great look. "We" ought to include the recruitment team.

Agree but even his biggest fan would always concede Moyes was a snide.

When it's the managers own words it's a bit different
