By Thursday we will probably have lost 50% of the games he has been back. I am really surprised how people think he is some kind of miracle worker.

Is he better than Dyche, of course! Do I like him, Yes! Is he the next messiah........

Wasnt that the point. Bearing in mind it was january who was taking the job.
I mean i was looking at this team thinking wheres the next goal coming from never mind the next win. At that stage we were 1 point out of the bottom 3 and playing sh!t. We've now got a nice cushion from that.
Miracle workers pushing it but kin hell he's done a job so far.
No pleasing some.

Offer 100 players next season the chance to play for Everton or Bournemouth same salary/contract.

98% choose Everton.
History
New ground
Huge fanbase
Bigger potential

Its not even a debate really.

The other 2% might like the beaches in Bournemouth.
I really don’t get this line of thought.

We are coming up to having won 1 pot in 40 years or something. Players won’t care about history because unless they support us, players won’t know our history and they will just see a team that hasn’t won anything for their whole lives and has most recently been a bottom half scrapper.

The other reasons may have an impact, but I’d argue that most players want European football, and if that’s what Bournemouth can offer next season, playing in a progressive team like they are, I bet that’s a stronger pull than coming to a team that is having to be rebuilt.

They will also know that if Bournemouth drop down the table the following year, they can get a move elsewhere.

What has January got to do with it? We signed ancelotti in a similar situation. This is the point, we have fallen so far we are happy taking Moyes back where other clubs look further afield. I’m sure I read Moyes is the oldest manager in the prem
As I keep saying, I like him, I just think it is very Everton to end up with him again

Yes were coming up to one pot in 40 years, Bournemouth have won 1 championship (2nd tier of English football) in their history!

Just because they are slightly better than us for the past 5 minutes, don't think for one minute they are better bigger or more attractive club than Everton. (even in our current predicament)
Cant believe im typing this to an Everton fan.

Bournemouth will be below us next season and for the next 10-20 years and beyond.

Bournemouth in the summer will get their manager and better players taken off them.

Ancelloti wasnt at a club. Thats why he got him.
Name the top class manager who was coming in mid season?
I mean what a post. His objective was to come in and keep Everton in the league. So far he's 75% wins in the league. yet you've managed to go all marty mcfly and travelled into the future and put it as 50% losses on thursday morning lol. Wtf.

But he will 100% of won at least 50% of his league games. Which is better than almost all Everton managers. Very few Everton managers have been given such a tough set of circumstances to start with, possibly only Royle, Moyes and Dyche who all followed some absolute clowns, or in Moyes’ case a long line of clowns since he left, bar Ancelotti

To a lot of young players around the world, tradition of the club and staying an entire career with them is unfortunately a nostalgic thing of the past. Fans see things in terms of tradition, Judas players who left, etc…. Players want to get paid as much as possible in the short window they have, hoping they don’t get injured mind you, and that usually means getting picked up by the top teams in whichever league will have you.

That even extends to loyalty of country. I think of Kane, Bellingham, Alcaraz, Haaland, and even players from Asia like Son. The only loyalty to country is playing for your national team. Sadly, the days where the likes of Dixie who grew up locally and plays an entire career for essentially the home club are gone. It would be great to see a grassroots movement but finances would never dictate that.

It’s cool, you’re satisfied with Moyes, I like him but had hoped we might look forward with our next appointment. Defo ain’t worth your while getting all worked up about.
Let’s smash em on Wednesday and we can all be happy

Not disputing this, I’m saying that people were suggesting we didn’t need any signings cos we’d won a couple of games. I was merely pointing out that it will cost us over the course of the season

No biggie

Liverpool will beat us on Wednesday and probably comfortably and that won’t be on Moyes. We don’t have a single player who would get on liverpools first team and maybe only 2 who would get in their squad. No manager going in to this game with the two squads available should be judged by it in any way, from an Evertonian point of view. You could mix the best of Kendall/Royle/Moyes and give them a mix of Dyche/Martinez/Benitez and they’d still beat us 95 times out of 100

Im satisfied that so far he's dragged us away from the relegation zone. It needed a short term fix. There was no top class manager kicking Evertons door in to manage this side. Its interesting when i ask that question names are sparse in the replies.
We've some tough games coming up. Its not cut n dried yet. But to have gone from where we were in the table to a 9 point cushion in just a few weeks am grateful to moyes. Dam right i am

I agree he’s figured out Young. Today was due to injuries. In the few matches already we’ve seen Jake start over Ashley. But with Coleman, Patto, and Myko out, that didn’t leave too many options.
This is what Young always should have been for us. I have no issue with him being a squad player who can fill a couple of positions and has a ton of experience.

It sums up the state of the squad they he has played pretty much every week since he got here.

People suggesting we didn’t need signings were right. The proportion of signings classed as successful made in January compared to the summer across the board isn’t even comparable. Moyes has done the hard work, stay up was the job, that’s done. I’d much rather have a plan based on his assessment after watching 20 games and scouting for 6 months, then panic and spend after 15 days. That’s for sure.
