2024/25 David Moyes

Makes me laugh when our fans clearly paid no attention to our last 3/4 manager shortlists, and managers who actually wanted to come here, and then moan we haven’t gone for any top European managers who will barely know who we are.

Im
Not a Dychette in any way but defo hoped for a progressive manager to take us forward. I like Moyes, but he’s the past, or at least should be
In many ways I agree with what you’re saying, however TFG were never going to bring in a young progressive manager given the situation we are in. We needed someone to steady the ship and that was always going to be an older steady type. Moyes was the perfect fit for them given that he was available and he knew the club and the league. I don’t believe that anyone feels that David Moyes is the manager who is going to usher in an era of success but he will provide the next manager with a stable base to work from. I am hoping for a young dynamic manager with new ideas and an attacking outlook but I would rather that manager came into the post with a better base so that he has less pressure on him and he has a bit of time to get his ideas across. I have said it before but it is worth repeating “David Moyes is not the solution to Everton’s problems but he is the start of the solution “. It took quite a number of managers to get us into the trouble we are in, it is going to take a couple, at least, to get us out.

So I didn’t say fans were expecting us to win every game. Thank you. Maybe read what’s actually said rather than inferring what you’d like to have been said.
shockingly the same players who lost plenty of games over the last few seasons have not won every single game under the new manager. Maybe the answer is to change the manager…again…
You literally said the above trying to imply that that’s what fans expected if Dyche got sacked. Stop trying to act as if people are thick so you can feign ignorance

You could say took a couple of managers ill raise you took a couple of owners and their decisions to get us in this mess. People wanted kenwright to sell, he did we got moshri, who in turn got brands and between them threw money and stupid wages at average players. And messed up potential premier league postitions/status and future transfers with their copy city plan of action

Well its a cushy number cos he won 3 games on the trot, hes actually made his job look easier by being competent, maybe he should have lost for 4 months only to spawn a goal on the last to stay up.

Lampard and Dyche, last minute saves from relegation after losing games for months = Miracle workers
Moyes and Big Sam, win games and reduces the need for a relegation battle = Dinosaurs who need sacking

Just watching Everton yesterday (Even with a 2-0 defeat) was far more entertaining than watching 99.9% of the last 2 years.

I don't think the performance was 'that' bad yesterday, their goals were bad errors and completely avoidable, we hit the post 3 times and blazed a couple over the bar.
Think also they got the rub of the green and a lot of decisions from the atrocious ref.

My main gripe from yesterday i thought 1 or 2 changes should of been made at HT Doucoure at the very least.

Totally disagree.

First 60 mins was flat, sloppy and as bad as anything served up under the previous manager.

But it’s all about opinions 😊

By Thursday we will probably have lost 50% of the games he has been back. I am really surprised how people think he is some kind of miracle worker.

Is he better than Dyche, of course! Do I like him, Yes! Is he the next messiah........
