These stats illustrate how difficult it is to secure a decent striker in January. It’s a gamble in any window but at least in the summer there are more options and most likely better value. On the other hand whilst we are in a decent position now that can change quickly and after tomorrow we are stuck with what we have

My take on it, if we can't get someone who improves us right now don't bother.

Chermiti back in 4 weeks, Beto has never had injury issues, and both other back before the end of season. Ndiaye can cover in an emergency until then.

Wasting 10-15m on a Maupay type who you're stuck with for years is false economy.
