He did a good job with the half season when he came in and also dealing with the deductions.

He was the right tool for that particular job.

This season though was a step too far for his skill set. We were going under.

The gulf in class between Dyche and Moyes is clear. Also, Moyes is one of us. He just is.

Fair and balanced...you'll be utterly detested for that post mate.

I think the Bournemouth home result 2-3 also massively swung Dyches pendulum. Because had we won that it was probably our best performance up to 65 minutes of that game under Dyche. We played good football in that game and deserved to win, but for whatever reason we lost when it was impossible to lose. Instead of persisting with that style and tweaking, Dyche reverted back to type and we never saw a performance like that under him since.

By doing that he lost the majority of fans and the results didn't improve much either. Losing Irigboenum to injury probably didn't help but he really shouldn't have gone so defensive when so much of the season was left.

We were struggling. But this isn't my point.

My point is that Dyche deserves credit from all Evertonians for keeping us in the PL.

Only divvies dont see that. 🤷‍♂️

Dave don't think anyone doesn't think he deserves credit for last season, we had an 8 point reduction, of course he does. The point is this season we have regressed as a team, he admitted as much that he couldn't take this present team any further. We have been awful this Season the football has been abysmal, a lot of fans thought we should be getting better results, playing better football and getting more out of these players, Moyes has proven this point so far that you have got to admit and look forward to the future, whether that's with Moyes or someone else is another matter. As it stands Moyes is the Man.

Counterargument.

He was arrogant.
He was pig headed.
He hated us (except Dave)
He had only one way to play; defend.
He had only one way (in the main) to attack - kick and charge.
He always thought he was doing us a favour.
The football for the time he was here was dour and rubbish.
He was paid a king's ransom for subjecting us to that rubbish and then then wanting to be lauded for it.
And he spent a lot of time sitting in public bathroom stalls, because he enjoyed sniffing stale, putrid farts.

Thank You
You left out one thing, mate. I added it for you. ;)

Daft as a brush mate. There's a few on here who are just involved in Everton for the managerial intrigue: they just wanting hirings and firings. Permanent instability. That's what they get out of following Everton.

They're not supporters as far as Im concerned. I dont consider them Evertonians.
Fella who supported the rs pork chop, who cheered on the mind numbing footy the snot goblin played, who prays for Everton defeats so it affects the rs title push is deciding what makes an Evertonian, shush your embarrassing yourself on here

I see @davek and @Saint Domingo are keeping this thread on the front page. We all know why Dave's doing it, he's a Colin Robinson style energy vampire, but why are you doing it SD, apparently you're not even that big a fan according to yourself. Did you post about our other managers, grovelling and repeatedly thanking them for their modest achievements, weeks after they left? If you did, I don't remember it. Bit weird if you ask me. Is this thread the equivalent of a shrine for you? Are you keeping his bedroom untouched?
