If given the game time and service Beto will net us around six or seven goals during the remainder of the season

It’s not a coaching thing at all, he’s just clearly not suited to this level of football.
He was flipping burgers 7 years ago playing in the amateur leagues in Portugal, it’s a meteoric rise to be fair. But his understanding of the pace of the game is nowhere near this level. Even if he’s a big lad and he’s quick his mind won’t ever be at that level.
Cannae wait to vault this palI think hes utter plop, but if its likely that he leads the line for us in the next few months I will support him fully.
We have a week to save us all from watching this clown play football.Cannae wait to vault this pal
If you include training sessions, you might be at least half right...If given the game time and service Beto will net us around six or seven goals during the remainder of the season![]()
C'mon you can coach people to press and certainly improve them. He's definitely raw and that's mainly down to his coming to this level late in his career. He's just not played a lot of football at this level. Is he the answer to Everton's striking situation in the long run? I don't think so. Is he as bad as people are making out, I don't think he is. He'll score goals if you give him the right service, probably somewhere around 1 in 3.
That doesn’t argue with what I’m saying though? 5 years of top flight football is quite a lot, he played in proper junior teams too it’s not like he only discovered football at 23. Like I said, you can coach him to do things better but it will only go so far considering his age and experience, there has to be a basic level there to work with which I’m just not sure is the case for him.
You can coach stuff like how to press, technique, you can train athletically etc. - absolutely.I'm not sure that's true. I'm pretty sure he was frying delicious chicken.
All kidding aside, that's he's come this far is incredible and he deserves a lot of credit for that. It's admirable. I just don't think he's good enough for the PL.
I’m fully willing to embrace Beto ball for a few months. Back him to score first every week. Will end up skint but will be a thrillWe have a week to save us all from watching this clown play football.
The poor touches cause a problem as the defenders dont have any more idea than he does where the ball is going.. The bar is set very low here mate but he is not PL standard and we need better !He's clearly not a technically gifted footballer but I feel a lot of our fans just refuse to acknowledge that most players need a run of games to build up form.
Beto has barely been given a chance in the time he's been here in terms of lots of minutes and starts. His first touch is diabolical at times but if he is given a run of games he can work on that
He gives us a lot more threat than Calvert-Lewin who may be a better hold up striker but has a very disappointing goal record.
Beto needs to be judged properly after a run of 5-10 games from the start which he's never had.
Some poor touches today but still cause their defence a fair few problems.
guys a big clumsy fruit machine. Can’t fault his effort, but fact he could well be our no 9 till seasons end is worrying. Nowhere near prem level, and he’s got a 1st touch like Harold Shipman. I want him to do well so much, but just don’t think he’s capable sadly. The poor touches cause a problem as the defenders dont have any more idea than he does where the ball is going.. No he won't mate, he's pony, he won't be given the game time and will probably be punted, Moyes will be trying like a bear as I type to bring in a half decent striker. If given the game time and service Beto will net us around six or seven goals during the remainder of the season![]()
The guy looked bang average against Peterborough never mind Prem teams. Mindboggling how we spent about a year with him on the radar and paid about £25m for him. Runs around like he was the 4th placed winner of an Ali Dia tribute act.guys a big clumsy fruit machine. Can’t fault his effort, but fact he could well be our no 9 till seasons end is worrying. Reminds me of the derbies when you would hope Gerard and Torres would be injured and not play . They will be hoping Beto plays.. sadRemember Dom tormented the RS in last years derby
Honestly think Van Dijk and Konate will have a day off with Beto.
He's just too sloppy
We do need better and hopefully Moyes can identify someone. The poor touches cause a problem as the defenders dont have any more idea than he does where the ball is going.. The bar is set very low here mate but he is not PL standard and we need better !
Or simply lack of ability !That's just down to coaching and game time.
