But it stands to reason that if you sack a manager who had the team 2 places above relegation with games in hand then if you bring in someone to succeed him he should be getting us up a few more places for security purposes to be considered worthwhile hiring???

We should deffo hold out for 50m for DCL. He was in the England squad for a friendly three years ago, and he's one in one over the last game.

I would imagine that was pretty close to the line of thinking tbh. It’s been 2 games. 1 loss, 1 win. Already an improvement. A couple of smart transfers should help to do exactly that.

Actually he was much more bullish and confident when we were only 1 point clear of the drop zone, than he is now that we’re 4 clear of it. It’s almost like he’s an AI spam bot that’s programmed to take a contrarian stance on everything.

Thats literally what hes doing, always going with the ‘opposition’, tho I guess Benitez was a bridge to far even for him. You could see him gravitating closer to Dyche the more people vocally disliked him.
I prefer the conspiracy theory that he is working for GoT, making sure theres always some unhinged discussion going. Hes a bit too sneaky to be AI, unless thats where the Arteta money went, to fund the creation of this contrarian Martinez-loving bot.

I like Dave, but lets spend upcoming funds on new players insted.

They didn't sack Dyche he made his own position untenable and then refused to resign.

The opposite of the other players we go after. Decent goals and assists stats but absolutely awful for all other stats.

Not sure he's particularly good to be honest. And in a lesser league. Would be concerned if this is where we end up. Panic buy central if true.
