Nope, we overspent on other players, and paid them too much.

The fact we made a profit on James means we the the right side of the line with him.
The other transfers at the time (and still since) which we lost massive amounts of money on where the reason we lost massive amounts of money.

As I said, if all players had the same incoming/outgoing over their length of time with us, we would be in a very healthy position.
