The Pienaar situation

Denis and Anichebe starting up front against the RS was a travesty, Vellios not even getting a look in is a joke and if i recall correctly Fox said Vellios actually did '**** all' worthy of getting dropped.

Regardless of the excuses, or the system we play, he's much better than the reserves, and much better than Denis.

*waits for comments about how Denis tries hard*

No arguement from me, I would rather see Velios than Denis, as much as I rate Denis, I think Velios offers us more.

Denis is smart and I like to see him in when we are trying to milk the clock with a one goal lead. Velios is the guy I want in when we are tied or a goal down. I don't know he hasn't has more of a run. He's always impressed coming in as a sub. I hope he gets picked for Greece and gets a chance to prove himself in the Euros.

Don't believe either of them are good enough, or will ever be good enough...The benchmark has already been set for me and that is Jelavic - he's ace...reminds me of a young Berbatov.

IF they are good enough, they will play, exploding knees apart.

Ready made excuse that though which i can't prove or disprove either way.

Sure it might be true, look at the long list of young players we've had who have left and done nothing.

But look at the list of good youngsters we've had big expectations for, how many got runs in the first team, how many got a chance? How many could of took that chance and made the step up?

How many were worse that Anichebe? How many of our youngsters now could of been used in place of Mcfadden?
