Stink of pissy sheets in here, beautiful.
I'm sure you were hoping RB Leipzig snapped him up.

Come on. It's 2025 and we've hired David Moyes. Anyone who isn't kicking off over this don't be surprised when we are in the same state in two years time.

Maybe we can bring Allardyce or Benitez back then. It's just pathetic, it's the only word for hiring Moyes in 2025 ffs

Pretty sure there’s been next to no one saying that.

Not on here or other socials I’ve seen.

For the record he’d not of been my choice.

But if the arguement against him is due to a few choice words from him 12 years ago, then give ya head a wobble
That's not the argument though is it! He's a manager who takes ages to build a team, he plays dull football, never taken a club to levels they've not been before, protected his mate Kenwright, consistently lowered expectations of this club and he took the michael over the way he joined Man United.

No don't you know the Moyesiah is coming to part the seas and get us back in our rightful 4th place.

Nevermind that he was mostly known for grinding out boring 1-0 wins, losing to crap teams, not even bothering to prepare an attack against the top 4.

No he's definitely the answer and if you disagree you stink of pissy bedsheets.

We are on a hiding to nothing. Anyone excited about this is a fool.

I mean there's the failures at basically every other club he's managed to point to as well. The relegation with Sunderland. The fact that it was meant to be six months and is now three years.

People living in two decades ago thinking it's all somehow going to be the same as if Pienaar, Baines or Mirallas is going to show up and make themselves available to cover up for his dire attacking footy tactics.

But bigger than all of that is the actual laughing stock we are accepting we are by welcoming him back with open arms. It's really pathetic.

Who would you have gone for then? In our current predicament?

It was only going to be a manager out of work, due to PSR concerns etc.

So who else is there currently?!

Again, Moyes not my first choice BUT I do also get the logic of it.

My concern is that we need to get the crowd back on side. I don’t think Moyes is an appointment where it’s going to give us enough of a lift of enthusiasm. We need to have the crowd to help lift us over the line.

If it were someone else coming in, I could see that for a few games at least, the little moans and groans when there are misplaced passes would go away for example. With Moyes in charge I don’t think we’re going to give him that leeway or give him a break or back him as we would with a new entity.

Nonsense on both counts. When was the last time West Ham won a trophy before he won one with them then.

And he takes ages to build a team? He got West Ham their best ever Prem points total his first full season there and 6th place.

RB Leipzig aren't, and never have been, 1 point above the relegation places with a really average squad.

Be pragmatic for a bit.

I don't have a clue pal. I don't work in footy and we have been so crap for so long that I don't keep up with anyone else outside of us.

What I will tell you is that there's not a single doubt in my mind there were hundreds of other managers available that were not David Moyes and the Friedkins chose the one that is.

It's incredibly lazy leadership. You make an off the cuff decision to fire Dyche and you look no further than the last name that's been on every manager shortlist since he took the UTD job.

Where's their due diligence to ensure he was the best man for the job??? These utter jokers didn't meet with anyone else. It's a farce.

Don't put me on the spot to give you a name. The people in the club paid to manage succession plans should have had them ready and been interviewing them. Instead they gave in to every demand Moyes threw at them like the pathetic little begging bowl holders they were. The club is a joke right now.

Where are the examples of him taking ages to build teams? If you’re including his first tenure here, he worked off a shoe string budget for 11/12 years. Not his fault.

What he did at West Ham was pretty impressive. Something I’m sure 99% of us fans would snap your arm for in comparison to our last 5 years.

Took the Michael over how he joined Utd? How? He’d been with us 12 years. At the time Utd were the biggest club in the world. Alex Ferguson essentially picked him! How do you say no to that?

I sound like his biggest fan (genuinely im not) But there needs to be some balance added to this debate, as some of this stuff being said is just so OTT…
