The interesting thing about Armstrong is that there’s so much more to his game than we saw tonight , and I thought he was very good tonight . At u21 / u18 he’s shown he can get goals often popping up in good positions in the box and he’s got a physical edge to him which has resulted in yellow cards and a red this season , something he’ll learn to control . This time last year he was a promising first year scholar so his progress in the last six months has been fantastic . There’s a long way to go yet for him to bring his u21/u18 form consistently up a level and the “ handle me with care” label is still there, but he gladdens my heart seeing his progress amongst the dross we still have.

Promising. Will be better if the owners open the chequebook and have him learning his trade and competing for a place in the side against actual PL quality players rather than the empty shirts who still struggled to find their level against League 1 strugglers tonight.

It's such a tough ask coming into a side struggling as much as we are. I thought he did ok against a very poor Peterborough team, but I'm not convinced he's ready for the top level yet.

A very promising game. Hope it's followed up with more game time rather than benching until the confidence evaporates, which is what we normally do with youngsters.
Frankly surprised this innocuous post got a middle finger from @Superbluefan ... despite being a superglue fan he must really detest our youngsters. Ironic, an error or just unhinged?
