New manager

Yes you are right, he done really well in Sweden, no doubt.

I am not sure about his Swansea time, they had just got relegated and still had some good players, they finished about 9th/10th, nothing special.

At Brighton he had three seasons, first two he got about 40 points. His third season they came 9th. How much did he put in place there? Because Brighton are known for being a well run club with the backroom staff, DOF, academy, scouts etc. A lot of their staff are sought after.

As you say, he got a chance at a big club and was terrible.

Personally, I wouldn’t want him here, wanting the likes of Mykolenko and Doucoure passing it from the back.
He did a superb job at Brighton given patience.

Instigated the entire current style of football the team plays. Of course that took time after Chris Hughton.

Much like Martinez DiZerbi just took his team and said 'ALL OUT ATTACK!' and was wildly praised but found out in half a season.

Chelsea was always going to be disastrous for him but of course no manager would have turned that down.

His early seasons had Dychean Xg with a strong defence and huge lack of goals but he had Maupay up front.

Any change is a gamble but he was the man who made Brighton a consistent, highly entertaining, top ten club.

Yeah nice quip though have to give you that )

Point is CL winning managers got ran out of Chelsea, using failing there as a barometer is daft
I know - only ribbing. ;)

I'm just not sure we can put Potter in the same class as a Champions League winner like Tuchel whose career has largely been conducted on a different level.

Of course, he is an interesting manager. I have big doubts about him, but I can be cynical. I'm genuinely fascinated to see how he gets on in his next job.
