News of Ex Players

Onana's thread over on the Villa forum starting to look similar to how it did on here. Surprise, surprise.
First touch is a slide tackle on himself.
The guys pure comedy

£50m for a man with a 50p foot

He's got progressively worse and worse through the season.

His ability on the ball looks really concerning. I don’t know how he improves that at his age. In a short cameo, he miscontrolled the ball really poorly twice under little pressure. The second almost cost us a point. We need better than second touch is a tackle. I’m surprised we went for this profile of player in the summer.

Competition winner, what does he actually do?

If it ever clicks in his head that he has to be at his very best every game he will rightly be highly regarded.
Unfortunately he’s always struck me as a player who will coast on the back of one good performance in 4 or 5.
As soon as he scored a couple when he first signed there and went peak cheerleader I knew he would take his foot off the gas and have questions asked.

Maybe sides have learned to isolate certain of their players to focus and pressurise certain others. It'd explain why their results have tapered off.

Like what we are seeing, cut off the main method of playing and force us to some sort of half arzed plan B and we look even more dreadful.

And they were just Unai Emery’s post match comments on him

Agreed, always thought his biggest challenge is his mentality. He gets a degree of credit as that may be down to maturity but no so sure, he undoubtedly has all the physical attributes, but then again a lot of players do
