New manager

A new guy only gets different results if he can get some of his own players in as well.

This group are woeful.

He’s not made us turd though, have you forgotten Lampard, Benitez?

Half of Silva/Koeman?

About a quarter of Carlo?

We’ve been a mess for a while. He’s a symptom of the problem. He’s even said it himself hasn’t he, if we were even adequately ran he’d be nowhere near the Everton job.

so get the new nan in now mate and give him the window also

so lets except the result and the 3 wins in how many games?

do
you wanna risk keeping dyche? seriously Q btw

also if dyche knows this why isn’t he trying to show he can do better then what we know?

As a football manager, he is gash! so yes, getting someone in would improve us. Baines could take over tonight for the short term.

The takeover risks losing momentum in month 1 unless the Friedkins stamp their authority on the club and appoint a new progressive manager to make a statement of intent. This statement simply needs to convey that Everton will be building a side that plays beautiful football.

There is no time to delay. With a full window to come, a new man of any quality will have us moving up the table soon enough.

Are the Friedkins savvy enough to get this right? If they can’t or won’t, people need to be recalibrating their expectations…
We have to hope they are savvy enough. It would be a gross misjudgement to let this stutter on for another 4 or 5 games and I imagine Dyche himself would be equally surprised.

It's time to twist, if he gets more than Bournemouth I'd be disillusioned. Point at best there, at the very best. It's Bournemouth ffs. Dear, dear me.

The situation now needs calm heads and clinical action. Dan Friedkin sits at the head of a corporate group that last year posted a turnover of $11 bn. We've seen their MO at Roma, doesn't mean they'll get it right but I really do expect them to reach what are quite glaring conclusions very soon.

If we can strengthen then yes, 100%. I’d have sacked him weeks ago if we know guaranteed the new manager gets funds to play with.

I’ve heard the opposite, that Armstrong might be sacrificed for PSR and Beto/DCL need to go before we can sign anyone.

Dyche is what he is, he’s a known commodity.

Do I think he takes us down at the expense of Ipswich, Southampton or Leicester? Probably not no. But it’ll be minging.

None of this is befitting of our final season at Goodison but sadly it’s the mess Moshiri has made. If we bring someone new in, with the same group I don’t believe we’re too good to go down. That’s the risk.

Leaned towards Conceicao some weeks back. I'll stick with that. He is available and seems towards the upper end of someone we might attract currently. And if we do stay up, he would be a good candidate to look to make progress.
Agree. Feels like it would move us on from firefighting to implementing an actual playing style that wouldn’t make my eyes bleed.

I would love Iraola to come to our club but even an appointment like that comes with risk. He lost 6 and drawn 3 of his 1st 9 games with Bournemouth in the premier league last season which make his achievement even more remarkable. But I think we as fans have to accept we are going to have to take a couple of step backwards to make progress if we want better football in the longer term.

yearh that’s ok then forget the wins we don’t need them

how can you defend this dross?
Not defending it, they’ve clearly not downed tools for him though.

It’s crap mate, totally agreed.

I just don’t think it gets much (if any) better until we also deal with the utterly crap squad we have.

Look at the teams above us and look at their starting 11s, we’ve got two, maybe three who get into any of their sides on a good day.
