Merry Christmas Mike… hopefully it was a good one… but honestly sometimes you give off the vibe that you would rather Dyche was losing games so you could be right.
Can you be more specific with you data requests next time?

Yes, I asked you to update your form table after the next 4 games. Not FOR the next 4 games. Do you understand how that works or do I have to explain it really, really, really slowly for you? You gave us a 10 game sample size from game 4-14. I was simply asking you to provide a 10 game sample size from games 7-17 instead.

Seeing as you seem unwilling to provide this information, I’ve done it for you. We’re 14th in this form table. Not too far off where we are in the actual table is it.

We’re 4 points off 19th. We’ve won 3 games in 16, soon to be 17 in a matter of hours. On course for under 38 points. They’re your non-cherry picked realities unfortunately.

We also lost to second bottom, will probably lose to bottom, and failed to beat third bottom in that made up table.

Im just referencing the last 3 games of course. Thats when weve bounced back after being hammered by United.

Anything today would be welcome.

Cheers mike for putting that together for me. This is one of your best posts, some structure, bit of analysis, data. Coherent. And we are on the same page with a lot of things.
14th good with this squad imo. And a game less I assume.
Think we can both agree it’s been going better for Dyche than you thought the last four games would go.
Man City away today, I’m on the same page. I’ve got that down as an expected loss too.
Hoping we can keep it tight at the back though and continue our good form. And Man City dont turn up.

Have a great Boxing Day.

Ok, why didn’t you do the 10 game table then? I don’t agree btw. We finished 12th last season. And if we get under 38 points, which we’re on course for, then we certainly won’t be finishing 14th.

Please update the 10 game form table after today’s game mert.

Reasoned argument.
I get we aren’t good to watch, I also get we draw to many games.
I am also ok with us having a new manager if the money comes in.
I just think we are team with no match winners, no goal scorers and it’s been like this for years. Absent ownership. No investment. It’s also a squad with players running contracts down.
This is recipe for disaster.
Yet despite this Dyche has got a team still committed and playing for him.
Think he deserves credit for keeping this squad in The league.

I can’t understand that people refuse to give Dyche any credit or accept that he has had a terrible hand to play.
Plenty of people have given a Dyche credit for the first season and a half. Like myself, most I think wanted to see some stability/progression this year, yet we have regressed. The same players under performing this year are the ones that amassed 48 points last year, so if they and a Dyche get credit for that, they must take the criticism that comes this year, but the buck stops with Dyche. It must be so frustrating playing an hour of each game chasing the ball.

Every fan in every league in every country wants their team to kick on.
But that’s not how the league works, most are going to be disappointed.
Without money kicking on is a pipe dream. Dyche has done a job providing stability, but kicking is a big ask with the resources available.

I do get your point mate, and it doesn't help that we have drawn a lot of games. It can be interpreted different ways.

For me, our issue thus far is we made an awful start, and in my view looked ill prepared. That's my criticism of the manager. Had we have got 5-6 points from the opening 4, which is about the pace we have set subsequently most of the "noise" wouldn't exist. We would likely be half way up the table and in a far more relaxed state.

So yes we are a few points above the drop zone, but fortunately you have 4 really poor teams. Palace and us could get sucked in, but I'd be surprised. However as soon as we lost those first 4, it was always going to take us a long time to get away from the drop zone to feel comfortable.

That is on the manager, and in my view is the biggest criticism.
