2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

After giving in a few weeks ago and saying he should go, I'm back on the fence. Three pretty solid performances and he's got some breathing space now. Biggest issue is playing DCL week in week out and terrible finishing by the squad in general (except Keane). Not sure Beto is the answer but Chermiti and Broja may well be.

Given City's run of form we should be looking for a win there this week. Forest will be tough though, very much our equals last season, not a world class line-up of players but a team that's fighting amongst the top dogs (for now). Suspect it's a one season wonder and they'll be back to usual next year, but in the meantime we need to sort our finishing because they'll give us a game. Two wins for Dyche this week and he'll be there til the Summer plus manager of the month maybe.
If we actually win some games then you can make an argument for him staying until the end of the season. Otherwise we are living very dangerously keeping him on.

Our goals scored record is absolute pants. 14 in 16 games including the 2 OG v Wolves. That failure to score goals got Burnley relegated the year Dyche left. Early season they were n`t to bad defensively but couldn`t turn draws to wins, and when it go to the end of the season and they had to get a few wins, they went more forward and got a couple of heavy defeats.

You said our strikers had a couple of chances yesterday.

@Goat asked when they were.

I have already pointed out to you that all the shots we have had from the last 2 games, not one of them has been by our strikers (DCL and Beto).

No one at all has said we didn’t have chances. That’s just you saying that. And it seems to be based off not understanding what a ‘striker’ is in football.

Is Ndiaye not a striker? And why the fixation on strikers getting chances? WTF does it matter who gets them? Arsenal's goals are coming from corners with CBs as the main goal threat.

How are the haters now distinguishing between strikers and other outfield players getting chances?...oh yeah, because they're blinded by hate.

As you were.

Undoubtedly Dyche has tightened us up of late and made us hard to beat - great - but in reality it's only wins that catapult you out of the bottom third of the table and until we start scoring goals and getting a few wins we are always going to be in danger of going down if a team below us starts finding some form.

The Dychettes say be careful what you wish for and don't take a chance on a new manager in our position ( a position Dyche has put us in by the way ) but I think it's equally applicable to say that if we don't start scoring goals then we are at massive risk of going down.

Do the Dychettes really think that we are going to draw enough games to keep us up?

They had a couple today alone.

No he isn’t. He is a winger or a number 10. As I said, you clearly dont understand what a striker is.

Fixation? You made the initial comment about strikers not taking their chances fella 😂. Despite the fact they had no chances.

Blinded by hate? I said multiple times yesterday that it was a very good performance and Dyche did a very good job yesterday 😂

Goals from set pieces don’t count

Deflected goals don’t count

Goals from rebounds don’t count

Goals from outside the box don’t count

Goals from players who don’t play in a central striking position don’t count

They of course absolutely count when we concede them..obviously

The stat that came out yesterday that Everton have the meanest defence across the top 5 European leagues is proof that we're too negative.

Every silver lining has a large black cloud attached to it.

Correct, but Dyche doesn't;t make these useless 'kin chumps upfront and midfield miss gilt edged chances to nick all three points does he?

Lol

We are on 16 points from 16 games.

We’ve had 2 absolute hammerings at spurs and Man Utd, 2 teams who really aren’t that good.

2nd lowest goal scoring team in the league.

There are far more negatives than positives. You are once again, trying too hard to be purposely petulant.

Unreal that you know all of the above and still argue against it.
