2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

He's struggling to replicate what he's done in the past, we've had one of the easiest runs of the season so far and we're completely decimated by a very erratic man united you think chelsea and city will be any different, teams have beaten city this year when they go at them not sit back the entire game. He's bereft of any new ideas so he's not the safe choice people believe he is

I’m not being funny but how many people on here said this before Arsenal, or before any game this season?

Dyche has played Chelsea 3 times so far, won one at home, drew away, and lost away. There’s very little point in trying to predict the game.

We were Burnley, Dyche kept our head above water. It’s the new owners in play, if they spend money and bring a world class manager in that’s fair enough.

Spent £300m more than us, and shows in every position on the pitch.

that was us. Mission complete.

Of course but there are result that go against you over a season there will be results that go our way. It happens to most teams over the season.

i would say, if we spent money and in that would be a good view. Would you be happy with us changing the manager rather than buying new players.
Its pointless buying new players with this manager, he ignored Danjuma all last season and is ignoring JOB this season.

The manager is the biggest issue currently at this club.

But anyway, a new dawn is here, Dyche has a new boss, its up to him to prove hes got what it takes to takes this club into BM, over to you Sean.

I hope he's out by the time we bring in a couple players because unless they're his type of premier league experienced journeyman he's not going to play them until injuries make it happen or just sit them on the bench like Jake obrien. We need players that will suit the future manager not dyche

You are right we could then end up having to put up with poor players until their contract runs out.

Have we really made it up elsewhere though we're on the cusp of the relegation spots currently. I know fluke games happen but he can't beat supposedly lesser opposition when he needs to. It's embarrassing
No we haven't yet, that's what i'm saying. If we do then I couldn't really care less that we lost to Southampton as an individual result. Obviously if we don't then games like that become a lightning rod for criticism, which is understandable. Some of the cryarsing about losing to Southampton and being the only side Brentford have got a point away against is, well, embarrassing. They're annoying stats of course, but that's just how football goes. We're not 6 year olds getting mocked in the playground we can surely shrug off things like that as long as the bigger picture turns out alright. As I said, the big question is whether that is what happens.

Is it? We’re 3 points off the relegation zone and likely to drop into it in the next week :hayee:

We’ll see pretty soon won’t we. Clubs are always looking for PL survival, finances are more important to them than the aesthetics fans may desire. Some of them will fall on that sword once but they won’t do it again.

Southampton have turned to Juric because he’s a manager who will drill defensive discipline. Leeds went to Allardyce after Marsch failed. Wolves have gone with Pereira another defensive manager. Teams will do anything to survive, and when one is in the relegation zone next season and Dyche is available you think their owners will be like ‘nah I just don’t like his goal per game ratio and I’m willing to lose 100s of millions to hold that point of view’.

He’s a bottom half operator, he’ll get another job in the PL if he wants one quite easily in my view.

Thats what i said. A club with literally not an ounce of ambition might employ him. Not in demand. Desperate.
Ask yourself why in ten years nobody was interested in taking him away from Burnley. Even "his" club Burnley sacked him two years ago because they realised his football was getting them relegated.
Ive got no issue with him. Its just people like yourself who make him out to be some Red Adair.
Football is still a pretty simple game. If you're averaging less than a goal a game you're clinging on to try and get a point a game at best.
Koff. Fk that.

It wasn’t that long ago that people were complaining that he only beat the lesser opposition.

We’re unbeaten against Brentford in Dyche’s time here with three wins and a draw

Wins this season so far v Ipswich Palace Wolves.

the losses to Luton and Southampton are of course annoying but if we were good enough to consistently beat every bottom half team home and away every season we wouldn’t be in the bottom half ourselves.

Spurs lost at home to Ipswich, Pep’s City lost to Norwich previously, United have lost to absolutely everyone home and away. We’re always going to have bad results to poor teams whilst we’re a bottom half team ourselves.

Yes, because of our overall performances and results, that's my point. I'm not saying everything is great and there's nothing to worry about, I'm talking about the people who say 'HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN SACKED FOR THAT ALONE LAD ITS A DISGRACE AND AN EMBARRASSMENT NSNO'. Those results happen, always have and always will. On one hand you're the only team not to score against Brentford, on the other hand you're the only team to stop Arsenal scoring at home. Neither of them mean anything at all in isolation. If we drop into the bottom 3 he should be sacked because we're in the bottom 3, not because of an individual result. If we beat Chelsea and City this week then who cares that we lost to Southampton in the grand scheme of things? It's a minor irritation, not something that should define how we view the bigger picture.

I agree he should be sacked if we drop into the bottom 3.

Can’t we all agree that the last 5 years have been desperate.
No other teams have spent less than us and survived. No other team has had a points deduction equal to ours. No other team has had an absent ownership and players running down their contracts.
If the new regime want to invest and bring a top quality manager in I am not against that.
But I will say that Dyche has been good crisis manager for the times we *were* in.
