he gets an extend crack of the whip with the money promised from daddy Friedkan.

Dyche rocking up to a presser after splashing the Friedkin cash.

At the end of the day I believe Friedkan will only put up with him if the results are OK. That is doubtful
Yeah, these guys don't do expedience or sentiment.

What was enough to avoid the sack in the past won't be now.

His job is to get us safe ASAP. Lose the next two - likely - and fail to beat Forest and I really wouldn't be amazed if we start the new year with a vacancy.

Is he doing a pre-match presser today? Should be interesting.
Well he will have to move on from “it was like this before I got here” as his preferred excuse.
He now has a Chairman to engage with regularly and be able to communicate his plans for the future without the problems of the past…good luck with that one Dyche!

Yes and no. I agree but also disagree, a new manager would have 6 months to have a look at players and implement his tactics playing style, also potential of a transfer window unlikely we do much but still. And last of all I cannot put up with another 6 months of Dyches horrific play/tactics. But what you say does make sense
I also think it’s not going to be that difficult to stay up. 3 or 4 shocking teams below us.
I think it all rests on their first or at worst 2nd choice being available, seems like
They’ve spoken to Thelwell who didn’t want Dyche from day one

I would like to think they are not stupid either.

Barring a disaster (which can always happen with us) I would assume he (and Thelwell) will get to the end of the season when their contracts end and everyone can move on with no unseemly sackings or pay offs.

That would be the ideal scenario.

I think both of those guys have done a very respectable job in impossible circumstances. But their roles will change soon due to circumstances, and they are probably not the right men for those new roles. But I would be delighted if this could all end in dignified exits for people who have obviously done their best.

Different kettle of fish now. I doubt he will be sacked immediately but he will no longer get away with the bs and blame dodging he trots out after every defeat. He needs to just get on with it now and not be crap. It is down to him how much longer he is here now really. Do ok and the new guys will probably keep it as it is till his contract runs out. Go on another poor run and it will end pretty quickly i would guess. No way will these guys suffer fools.

Personally i hope he goes on a decent run and does ok because i would like to see him leave the club on a good note after his efforts in the first 2 seasons.

Different Everton now thankfully.

Frank would be a great appointment. Adaptable manager capable of consistency over a long period... exactly what we need
Agree entirely. He'd be a wonderful appointment, both on and off the field.

But he wouldn't leave Brentford now, so it would mean Dyche stays on until the end of his contract.

Any managerial change now would mean bringing in someone out of work - most of them are out of work for a reason, or hiring a manager from a 'lesser' league who will be unproven and thrown straight into the fire.

It's not ideal given the way we are playing currently, but make the right change for the right man at the right time.
