I see no reason why Everton couldn't get a Mourinho. We are one of the greatest clubs in England. If we are run properly, that statement will likely be proven. If we are run by the corner shop owner - like we were under Kenwright - then we will be shopping small.

If the Friedkins are any good, we should be able to appoint a high-profile manager. Get that right - and the recruitment - and we can challenge for European football in 12 months.

Of course, but I wouldn't get Mourinho. I like him, but not what the club needs atm.

Rather go with Conceicao.

I would be more excited if we went for a Conceicao type manager but also wouldn`t be too disappointed if we ended up with a Mancini, Mourinho or Allegri whose ceiling is that right at the top of the game instead of the point a game ceiling we have now.

I`m not convinced that TFG will change the manager and for me that is missing an open goal and show their lack of ambition for Everton who they will improve off the pitch and keep us bobbing along in the PL, everyone is expecting to see what they have been doing at Roma, that won`t happen here. I think Everton will be secondary to Roma who is the jewel in their crown.

Based on… what?

Ah yes, nothing.

Carry on.

That last paragraph is full of assumptions and by the looks of it you've made you mind up on them already.

A successful Premier league team would make a lot more money than an Italian one, especially one that needs a new ground and one that has a brand new one.
They are not fans they want a return on there money.
I wouldn't be surprised if they sell Roma to the middle Eastern lot intrested in buy them.

If they had the appetite to change the manager they would have made it happen by now, I don`t think they will and the media back slapping little old Everton today will sway them to keep unless things go south.

Perhaps they want to take over officially before making that decision but I think keeping Dyche in situ which, we`ve seen it all before, where an outgoing manager dips in form in that last season.

By the same token everyone is looking at Roma and saying 100% nailed on the same will go on here, again based on just that.

Just my opinion because this team is much better than what it is showing, put a decent manager and 2 decent players in Jan and we will be nowhere near relegation but this is Everton so those steps will not be taken, we aren`t allowed nice things to happen to us!

They won't even release a statement regarding the takeover they're not going to start chopping and changing the manager.

While I respect your opinion I think I will reserve my judgements for when they are actually through the door.

Again none of us know exactly what their plans are, it’s all media speculation at present
