It's also got the benefit of a clean slate. Some people I know still call Bolton's ground The Reebok. That's the value of getting tied in on something like this for a long period before it becomes known as something else to the worldwide audience.

I’d still call it the reebok if I was a Bolton fan. The tough sheet community stadium is an awful name

Classic Everton if they choose Friday 13th to announce it...
At some point you’ve got to look the curse square in the eye and say “I see you.”

I’d encourage walking on cracks, walking under ladders, opening umbrellas inside, breaking mirrors, spilling salt, chewing with your mouth open (is that one?)… anything to overload the curse system so it has to reboot and maybe give us a few years of peace while it does so.

My birthday is the 13th December and it’s a *phenomenally* auspicious day

Yes, this is a great point. The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has shown the benefit of that - albeit at a rather large initial cost to them. But at least that stadium is not known as something horrible - like the DW or Reebok or Emirates or Etihad. Horrible soulless monikers.

I'm still tending towards Bill Kenwright Presents...The Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock in association with Toyota.

Maybe we could even replace the "at" with @ to be down with da kidz.
