Not quite. The sponsorship for the stadium will be dictated by more than Everton’s position in the league, which of course will be a contribution.

But, it’s a state of the art stadium, in a world famous city, on an iconic location. It’s also set to host European championship games. Them factor alone increase its sponsorship value.

Even if it went to a PL fair market test, they wouldn’t just look a teams in a similar position.

It's also got the benefit of a clean slate. Some people I know still call Bolton's ground The Reebok. That's the value of getting tied in on something like this for a long period before it becomes known as something else to the worldwide audience.

still call the M&S Arena: “the Echo arena”

same with the M.E.N in Manchester, I still call it call that despite it being the AO arena for about 5 years.

Whisper it, perhaps the DOF could select & sign the players :o
Isn`t this the point, IF the DoF signs the players do you think Dyche will play them? Clearly the players that would take us forward will be nothing like a Dyche player. They will be more like Danjuma, NDaiye, O`brien etc, Dyche will just keep these on the bench or out of the squad.

Moreover how do you sign a player when they know the manager is out of contract? They will want to know who they are playing for, I don`t think you sign many players telling them next season we have a new manager but we don`t know who it is yet.

The manager goes 1st and then we get the link up in terms of his relationship with the DoF with the type of players they are looking at and then there is stability from a players POV because they know who they will be playing for and how they will be playing and utilised.

I think we could actually get ‘Winners’ the dog food manufacturer to sponsor us…just see the advert hoarding now ‘Winners back the toffees, making a dogs dinner of it since 1995’
Well we definitely won't get
